Legal Team Lead

We are looking for a strong Legal Manager in the iGaming sector. You will be responsible for managing gambling licensing across multiple international jurisdictions (Curaçao, Anjouan, Tobique, etc.), building and maintaining compliance frameworks, working directly with regulators, and leading the legal team. This role is ideal for a professional who is confident in gambling regulation, able to combine deep legal expertise with a commercial mindset, and ready to contribute to the company’s strategy for expansion into new markets. Responsibilities

Licensing & Regulatory Compliance

• Managing the full lifecycle of gambling license applications across multiple jurisdictions (Curaçao, Anjouan, Tobique, etc.);
• Monitoring regulatory changes and ensuring timely adaptation of client compliance frameworks;
• Liaising with licensing authorities and regulators.

Client Legal Support

• Providing legal support to clients throughout the licensing process and ongoing operational activities;
• Reviewing and advising on client business structures to meet regulatory requirements.

Team Leadership & Management

• Building, managing, and mentoring a team of lawyers;
• Setting team KPIs, managing workload distribution, and ensuring quality of legal deliverables.

Corporate Support

• Corporate structuring (holding structures, etc.);
• Supporting M&A transactions, partnerships, and B2B agreements.

AML

• Ensuring AML policies comply with local regulations.

Risk Management & Legal Strategy

• Identifying and mitigating legal and regulatory risks;
• Developing strategic legal roadmaps aligned with business expansion into new markets;
• Preparing legal opinions and risk assessments on new jurisdictions.

Requirements

Education and Qualifications: Higher legal education

Professional Experience

• 3-5 years of experience in iGaming and licensing
• Experience in managing a legal team
• Practical experience in obtaining and maintaining gambling licenses
• Experience working with international iGaming operators

Specialized Knowledge

• Deep understanding of regulatory requirements in major gambling jurisdictions
• Understanding of responsible gambling principles and regulatory requirements
• Experience with corporate law and international tax planning

Management Skills

• Experience in building and scaling legal teams
• Strategic planning and project management skills
• Ability to work in a rapidly changing regulatory environment

Language Requirements

• English language – mandatory
• Russian language – mandatory

Personal Qualities

• Stress resistance and ability to work under tight deadlines
• Strong communication skills for interaction with regulators and clients
• Commercial mindset and understanding of business needs
